What is your most treasured memory? Hiking the Milford Track, an ancient Maori walking path on New Zealand’s Southern Island.
When you are not at the office, you can often be found doing what? Attending The Washington Capital’s games and concerts, or listening to records around the house.
Where is your next adventure? My wife and I are heading to our honeymoon in Thailand and Cambodia. Between the temples, jungle and islands, I’m confident it will be beautiful. Beyond scenery, I’m excited step out of our comfort zone and experience the unique cultural atmosphere of south-east Asia.
What is your favorite quote and why? “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, “Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.” – Fred Rogers. With some of the tragedies that we’ve seen in recent years, Mr. Roger’s words are a comforting reminder that when challenged by circumstance, humans are capable of great compassion even at the risk of personal harm.
The one thing I couldn’t live without is music. I can’t imagine life without a soundtrack.
My friends always make fun of me for my collection of Crosby-style 1980’s sweaters.
