What does true leadership mean to you? From my perspective there are 5 types of leadership. A true leader can be singularly focused on, or a combination of:
There isn’t anything practice, rehearsal, repetition, study, sweat, toil, frustration, and discipline can’t fix.
The best book I have ever read is ’48 Laws of Power.’
The one thing I couldn’t live without is coffee.
What is your favorite quote and why?
I think favorite quotes change over time, depending on what you have, what you need, and what you are doing. Reflected through my choices, two new priorities in my life are raising my daughter and training for the Burning River 100 Ultramarathon.
“It’s up to us, let’s be Heroes”. A reminder to my wife and I that even when it’s hard, we always have the choice to be a Hero, especially to our daughter.
“Only those who risk going too far can possibly know how far one can go”. In order to be extraordinary in anything, but especially life, you have to put yourself in extraordinary circumstances. It does not happen automatically. People are more capable than they think.
What is your favorite place in the world and why?
In 2022, my wife and I traveled to Scotland, dubbed Operation Castles and Whisky. We drove through the country for a month, visiting every distillery and castle that we could. The outdoor adventures, breathtaking scenery, history, people, and culture really made it the trip of a lifetime.
