Andrea grew up in Venezuela before moving to the United States, an experience that shaped her perspective on financial responsibility and the importance of long-term planning. Witnessing diverse economic landscapes firsthand instilled in her a deep appreciation for stability, discipline, and the impact of informed decision-making.
After earning her degree in Business Management from Northern Virginia Community College, Andrea joined Acorn, where she has developed a strong foundation in client service. Dedicated to providing a seamless, supportive experience, she focuses on handling every client’s needs with precision and care.
Outside the office, Andrea balances an active lifestyle with a passion for the arts. Whether she is hiking with her dog, exploring local museums, or painting, she brings a natural curiosity and a love for discovery to everything she does.
What is the most rewarding part of your relationship with our clients?
Being a consistent and reliable point of contact for our clients. I enjoy building relationships and making sure they feel supported, heard, and taken care of in every interaction. Whether it’s answering questions, helping resolve an issue, or understanding the client’s needs. I value being someone they can trust to make the process smooth and stress-free. Every interaction is an opportunity to demonstrate a thoughtful, personalized service that gives clients peace of mind.
How do you personally define success, both for yourself and for the families you serve?
I define success not only in a professional sense, but as a reflection of strong personal values. When my values, such as integrity, care, and discipline, are aligned with the work I do, it becomes natural to give my best and genuinely support others. This alignment allows me to build trust, connect with people on a meaningful level, and provide a seamless experience. For the families I serve, success means feeling confident that everything is handled efficiently and that they always have someone looking out for their best interests.
What is a book (fiction or non-fiction) that you find yourself recommending to friends and family over and over again?
I often recommend ‘Atomic Habits’ by James Clear because it highlights how small, consistent actions can create meaningful change over time-something that applies to both personal growth and financial well-being. I also love ‘Too Soon Old, Too Late Smart’ by Gordon Livingston for its simple yet powerful life lessons. One idea that resonates with me is that “we are what we do,” which serves as a reminder that our daily choices ultimately shape the quality of our lives.
If you had a completely free, uninterrupted Saturday, where are you most likely to be found and how are you spending it?
My perfect Saturday would start with a peaceful walk outside with a coffee, enjoying the sun, and a slow morning. I would follow that with a workout or yoga session, then take time to get ready and head out for something inspiring-whether that’s visiting a museum, going to a winery, or spending time outdoors hiking or walking. I enjoy balancing movement, learning, and new experiences, so my day would likely include something that allows me to explore, reflect, and recharge.
What was your very first job, and what humbling or valuable lesson did it teach you?
My first job was at Dogtopia, where I worked in a fast-paced, hands-on environment caring for dogs. It taught me responsibility, patience, and how important it is to understand and anticipate different needs. Every dog and owner required a different level of attention and care, which showed me how meaningful it is to create a positive, personalized experience. That lesson has carried into my work today, where I focus on listening, building trust, and making sure clients feel supported every step of the way!
If you could have front-row tickets to any event in the world, where are you going?
I would choose to attend an opera performance in Italy, specifically at the Baths of Caracalla. The combination of music, history, and atmosphere in such a beautiful open-air setting would make it an unforgettable and inspiring experience.
